The Distant Sun
In the distant sun,
Witnessed by one,
Lies a long-held dream
Shrouded by the sun's beam.
Beneath that shroud
The dream cries aloud,
But daily chores by-and-by
Deafen man to its cry
And the dream lies dead
In its sun-lit bed.
But, alas, the ocean's tempation
Saves the dream from eternal damnation.
It calls man to its shore,
It encourages him to think more
And before he is done,
The dream rised from the distant sun.
